Are you wondering what Parent Circle is?  Parent Circle plays a vital role in planning annual events that benefit the school with the cooperation of the faculty and staff.  Parent Circle is open to all parents, grandparents, and guardians of our students.  Meetings are held monthly to plan events, and to get to know new members of our community.  Everyone is welcome!  

Events such as the Back to School Picnic, COS Spaghetti Dinner and Coffee on the Grounds are community gatherings, while other events allow us to celebrate seasonal festivals that are a reflection of our unique Waldorf school.  Celebrations of seasonal festivals help remind us of the “circle of seasons” throughout the year and also foster a sense of community.

Looking Ahead: Seeking Our Next Parent Circle President!

As we look toward the future of Parent Circle, we want to begin sharing an exciting opportunity for someone to step into the role of Parent Circle President!

Parent Circle plays an important role in supporting our teachers, staff, students, and families at Circle of Seasons. From organizing appreciation events to coordinating volunteers and helping bring school traditions to life, our goal is to strengthen our school community.

This position is a wonderful opportunity for someone who enjoys organizing, connecting with others, and making a positive impact on our school!

What Does the Parent Circle President Do?

The President helps oversee and coordinate Parent Circle activities throughout the school year. Responsibilities include:

• Volunteer Coordination: Help recruit, organize, and communicate with parent volunteers for school events, classroom needs, and special projects.

• Teacher & Staff Appreciation: Plan and coordinate small monthly appreciation activities, including gathering donations, organizing supplies, and working within a budget.

• School Events & Activities: Work alongside teachers, administration, and Student Council to support events such as festivals, celebrations, fundraisers, and other school traditions.

• Parent Circle Meetings: Organize and lead meetings, share updates on current projects, and encourage new ideas and participation from families.

• Planning & Delegating: Help establish goals for the school year and coordinate with other volunteers to make those ideas happen.

What Are We Looking For?

You do not need previous PTO experience to be successful in this role!

Ideally, we are looking for someone who:

• Is organized, dependable, and comfortable communicating with others.

• Enjoys working collaboratively with parents, teachers, and administration.

• Can dedicate some time throughout the school year to planning, emails, and coordinating activities.

• Is comfortable delegating responsibilities and asking for help.

• Is willing to attend meetings and be involved in school activities when possible.

• Has a positive attitude, an open mind, and a genuine interest in supporting our school community.

• Is up to date on all required clearances.

 Planning for a Smooth Transition

We are announcing this opportunity early to allow plenty of time for someone to learn the role, ask questions, and become familiar with the programs and responsibilities before officially taking over.

There will be opportunities to work alongside the current leadership, understand how our programs operate, and help ensure a smooth transition.

Our hope is to find someone who is excited to continue the wonderful traditions we have established while also bringing fresh ideas and new opportunities to Parent Circle.
